A small gesture of support

To save money, I would often buy used books online. While I can't say that I have abandoned this practice (I haven't shopped on Amazon in almost two years but I do shop on other websites), lately I've made more of an effort to purchase reading material directly from publishers or bookstores so that writers can benefit. Sure, I did think twice the other day before spending $25 when I saw it listed for $5 on ebay, but it always feels good to contribute to an artist. And of course, it helps them keep track of sales numbers. A writer's income is often paltry; only a small percentage of us become commercial success stories. I'd like to do my part to help, especially in 2020 when so many people have taken a financial hit.
